Meet Staš Grandi, DMD, MSD in Sonora

TLDR:
From his small-town roots, armed with a mission and touch of floss, Dr. Staš (pronounced "st-ah-sh”) completed orthodontic bootcamp with flying colors and even spiced up life as a globe-trotting United States Naval Officer. His academic ascent involved James Bond-style orthodontic innovations. Diplomate status by the American Board of Orthodontics and a Fellowship in Craniofacial Orthodontics followed, making him the one and only orthodontic legend in the Sierras. When not in the Sierras, he is at his other clinic in LA treating children with complex, special needs, like cleft lip & palate, trauma, and cancer. He conducts research at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and mentors the next generation of specialists at University of Southern California. Dr. Staš: designing dazzling smiles, saving the day one tooth at a time, and making orthodontics the coolest gig in town!

Full Bio:
Meet your guide to the world of orthodontics, none other than the maestro himself, Dr. Staš Grandi, affectionately known as Dr. G. or Dr. Staš—pronounced "st-ah-sh," where the š adds that smooth "sh" sound.

Once upon a time in the charming state of South Dakota, Dr. Staš, a kid whose name is as unique as his journey through the world of orthodontics, was living his best small-town life. Now, don't let the peaceful surroundings fool you—this kid had dreams bigger than the prairie sky! Back in middle school, young Dr. Staš stumbled upon the fascinating world of orthodontics. Braces, retainers, the whole shebang. It hit him like a bolt of dental lightning: this was his calling! Imagine: a teenage Dr. Staš, with a revelation so profound he had to declare his plans as a future orthodontic superhero to the local newspaper. Yes, he still proudly clings to that iconic, yellowing newspaper clipping like a dental relic, now a fridge adornment –a constant reminder of where it all began!

Armed with values instilled by his upbringing - hard work, dedication, service, commitment, and a dash of flossing - Dr. Staš embarked on a quest to conquer the orthodontic profession. Miami, Florida became his training ground, where he not only survived but thrived, earning both undergraduate and doctoral degrees. But that wasn’t enough adventure for this orthodontic specialist. In a plot twist nobody saw coming, Dr. Staš committed himself to military service, becoming a Naval Officer and globe-trotting across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Perhaps he was spreading the gospel of flossing in foreign lands or straightening the smiles of international dignitaries - one can only imagine. An orthodontic odyssey with an international twist!

Post-military service, Dr. Staš landed atop the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, earning not only speciality certification in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics but also a Master of Science degree for his groundbreaking research. His claim to fame? Developing new diagnostic techniques using advanced (fancy) imaging technologies in orthodontics, because why not add a touch of James Bond to the orthodontic chair?

Not stopping there, Dr. Staš achieved Diplomate status from the American Board of Orthodontics. It's like the black belt of the profession, achieved only by those brave enough to endure the grueling exams and peer-reviewed scrutiny of their clinical abilities. Most orthodontists don't even attempt it because it involves more exams than a calculus final.

But wait, there’s more! In an orthodontic mic-drop moment, Dr. Staš was selected for Fellowship in Craniofacial Orthodontics–an elite club with more prestige than a Hollywood gala. It's practically the orthodontic version of winning an Oscar, except with fewer red carpets and more retainers.

Now, the orthodontic maestro is back in small-town territory, bringing his A-game to the Sierras. Oh, did we mention he's the one and only orthodontic specialist in the region? His expertise is rarer than a golden ticket!

But Dr. Staš isn't all about titles—his heart is as big as his expertise. Beyond the Sierras, he orchestrates a clinic in Los Angeles where he treats complex orthodontic problems that are the result of such cosmic anomalies as cleft lip & palate, trauma, or cancer. And get this, it's all free of charge! It’s ortho philanthropy at its peak!

His dedication goes beyond the dental chair. He's part of the research team at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, pioneering the frontier of craniofacial care. But the story doesn't end there, he also enjoys mentoring the next generation of specialists on topics like facial growth, jaw surgery, and other advanced orthodontic treatments.

And so, dear reader, you now know a little about Dr. Staš, our very own orthodontic maverick with a passport stamped across continents, a list of credentials as long as the Dead Sea Scrolls, and a mission of philanthropy that transcends cultures. He lives happily ever after in the Sierras, straightening smiles and saving the day—one tooth at a time!

And that iconic newspaper clipping? It's not just a piece of history; it'a testament to the extraordinary journey that started with a passion for orthodontics.

But enough about Dr. Staš, let’s talk about you! Because, at his clinic, it's not just about braces; it's about your journey, and creating a smile that's uniquely, brilliantly you! It’s time to begin your story!
